“I’ve been searching for a really great place to take my 3 dogs when I go out of town. I’m an outdoorsman, and can’t always take all 3 with me when I’m out doing things like spearfishing… One of them is a female pit bull, and most places I’ve talked to just say no even before they’ve met her. The Dog House Inn worked with me from the first phone call, and was able to customize a plan for all 3 dogs. One is little, and very social. The other 2 do better with each other, but not with other dogs. I’ve been really impressed with all of the staff that I’ve met there. They know a lot about dog behavior, and I especially like that they worked with my dogs, as they are, instead of trying to make me fit them into their idea of what’s right. This means a lot to me. Thank you Dog House Inn! I wouldn’t take them anywhere else.”

We moved a few weeks ago from Gilroy to Morgan Hill. The upswing of the economy has made our commute out of Gilroy hellacious. The scant miles in between these two southern most towns of Santa Clara accumulate to 30-minutes drive time during rush hour. We were sad when we concluded that Irving would no longer be able to go to daycare because that would mean we would have to backtrack to Gilroy to drop/pick him up.
After reading the reviews of other doggie daycare facilities closer to hubby’s work, we weren’t convinced that they would give Irving as much loving care as Dawn, Stephanie, and Dusty have provided. Also, after having viewed Irving stay at home (we watch him on his Ustream channel while we are away at work), we could see that he appeared restless in our new home. In addition, we could see that he was extra clingy to us when we came home which is highly unusual for this bulldog who is usually confident and aloof with his parents (we are lucky when we get a 2-second tail wag from him which tires him out). I think Irving must see that we have “suckers” written on our forehead, and he knows that he has us wrapped around his dew claw. So we have decided that at least once a week, one of us will schlep this royal highness to daycare so that he can remain with his canine and human friends. It is worth it to see how he brightens when one of them come to greet him with kisses on his handsome face!

We’ve been coming here for years, even though it’s 40 minutes in each direction. Our dogs get supervised socialization and go right into the facility, dragging the handler without so much as a backward glance. I’m certain they wouldn’t go willingly if they didn’t enjoy it.
This is the only place we know our “kids” are safe when we travel. We have manipulating dogs that like to misbehave when your head is turned, but the Operations Manager Dawn knows all their tricks. They always give a full report, which is greatly appreciated. We appreciate Sherry and The Dog House Inn!

This place is fabulous. Our wonderful dog recently passed, but when she was still brightening our lives we would board her here if we went on vacation. We had tried various other places before, but we could tell she wasn’t happy. Her whole demeanor would change when we brought her elsewhere. From the very first time we brought her here, she still seemed like her happy little self.
It’s basically a biiiiig warehouse, with fencing to cordon off areas within. One thing that could have been a big issue for us was the all-cement floors. Our girl was up there in years, and she couldn’t easily hold herself up on slick surfaces. But the owners came to the rescue! They put little booties on her which gave her the traction she needed to comfortably get around. I thought that was just top-notch service. She did so well in the booties that we went out and bought her a pair for when she came home.
They treat the dogs exceptionally well here, and I always felt comfortable leaving our girl here the few times we had to.

I absolutely LOVE this place and my dogs (Kuma and Cannon) do too!! Their daily rates and hours are reasonable, but beyond that, their facility is impressive! Our dogs used to go to a daycare in San Jose prior to our move to Gilroy, and we were very worried we weren’t going to find a facility that would let our dogs play and socialize with dogs of their temperment and size like our old facility. (Some facilites don’t take this into consideration and just group all the dogs together, which can be unsafe for your pet.) This place BY FAR exceeded our expectations!! Plus, their overnight “rooms” are SO CUTE and roomy, allowing both my dogs to stay together if they want! I also like that they allow for the dogs to get pleanty of excercise and attention with the staff throught the day! I can go on and on about this place, but I’d better stop here! I’d DEFINITELY recommend this place for any dog daycare/boarding needs!

I have an English Bulldog, Buster, who I adopted through the Northern CA Bulldog Rescue in 2004. Without any prior history on him, I found out quickly that Buster was dog aggressive. We spent many dollars on specialized classes through private trainers and the SF/SPCA. None of the classes helped to control Buster’s aggression. After seeing an episode of The Dog Whisperer, I knew that I needed to find a trainer who utilized the same methods of “Dog Psychology” to help Buster, especially since his aggression was becoming worse and he was starting to bite people. Doing a Google search, I was able to find Sherry Boyer and the Dog Behavior Rehab program. Sherry and her staff all worked diligently and patiently with Buster for a month, then an extra 2 weeks at another time, in order to make sure Buster was going to be a good boy when he came home. I saw remarkable results with Buster! His aggression has really decreased, not just because they trained Buster, but Sherry and the staff mostly trained ME on how to deal with him! Thanks Dog House Inn!!!

I didn’t realize how hard it is to find a boarding facility until we had to find one for our beagle, Louie while we were away for a vacation. We searched high and low, looked at all reviews and never found one that suited our needs when it comes to the care for our dear Louie. Thank goodness a friend recommended this place – since they also used Dog House Inn for their own dog’s boarding. She highly recommended this place and told us that we will be at peace knowing Louie is going to be in good hands. They were very accomodating even with only a week’s notice. They invited us to come down and check out the place, take a tour and learn about what they do in terms of dog accomodations. We also got a chance to meet with the rest of the trainers and they all seemed knowledgeable and most importantly, had great love for dogs!!! Louie stayed at the Inn for 10 days and when we picked him up, he was happy and excited to see us. He was happily running around with the rest of the pack and Sherry told us that they had no problems with him at all. This place is highly and greatly recommended! They will take care of your dog with great care! Don’t be surprised if your dog comes home with a better behavior – always a plus!

This boarding facility is the best. Katy really liked the place when she stayed there last week, so I will now feel comfortable leaving here there again. The space is great which allows for lots of running around during the day which has been a problem with other boarding kennels in the area. I could tell she was much happier when I picked her up – fresh and clean. A big plus. This place came highly recommended to me by a good friend and I am very happy she did.

Best place for my GSP as he is not dog friendly. Most places have very small private kennels (kind of like the shelters) but the Dog House Inn has large private kennels so he move around and get some exercise. If your dog is dog friendly they have wonderful areas for dogs to play together – the best of both – private and cageless day care. Very friendly and very good with the dogs.

This is my favorite place to leave Taco, my Golden Retriever, for a few hours or even a few days. I can leave town and enjoy my vacation with out worrying about a thing. I think Taco actually likes the Dog House Inn better than home!!! Another Plus: He always comes home more behaved than when I dropped him off.

I boarded my dog at The Dog House Inn recently and was blown away by the place. It is spacious, clean, cool and my dog had such a great time. I was really glad to see him so happy when I came to pick him up. It was the first time since I started boarding him I really felt like he was taken care of while I was away. I think it was because he had so much room to run around in during the day and play with other dogs rather than being locked in a small cage all day. This boarding facility is a real find – I know I found the best place for my puppy and I am sure you will love it too!

This is the best boarding facility in South Santa Clara County. Plenty of room for my dogs to run and play during the day. It it very clean and the staff are the best!! The owner really cares about each and every dog that visits this facility. She and her staff treat them like their very own. The best part is the vast amount of space they get to run around in – indoors all day long. Much better than most facilities with small cages. Try this and you will love it! I will never take my dogs elsewhere.

The best place for your pet! I just tried this boarding facility for my dog and he loved it. The first time that I actually could go away and not worry about him. It is huge, clean and the staff are the very best. This is my dog’s new home away from home. He actually was sad to leave his new friends when I picked him up a little early. The best!
